Lt. Governor Skillman Awards Sonny Brewster with Indiana Main Street Outstanding Board Member of the Year Award

Sonny Brewster and Lt. Governor Becky Skillman Lt. Governor Becky Skillman awarded Sonny Brewster with Jeffersonville Main Street, Inc. the 2009 Indiana Main Street Outstanding Board Member of the Year award during a ceremony at the Indiana Statehouse on Friday.

Sonny is the chairperson of Jeffersonville's Main Street Inc.'s Concert Committee. When the Concerts in the Park series began 19 years ago, there were more band members than audience members. Today, the concert series sees a seasonal attendance estimated at 12,000 people. This is due to the hard work of the Jeffersonville Main Street concert committee, which has been chaired by Sonny for most of those years. In addition to his dedication to making the Concerts in the Park series a success, Sonny works at countless other events and sits on the Board of Directors as one of the organization's founding members.
