DESCRIPTION:Schimpff’s Confectionery\, operating for more than 134 years in historic Downtown Jeffersonville\, Indiana announces a big celebration for Friday\, November 7 to mark three major milestones: \n\nSchimpff’s being named the Best Candy Store in America\nWarren and Jill Schimpff’s 35th year of owning and running the business\nThe passing of the torch to 5th generation of candy maker Cousin Steve\n\n\n		\n		\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n		\n\nThe historic candy shop\, famous for their Red Hots\, is inviting the public to the November 7 celebration starting at 10am\, which will include a look back at the evolution of Schimpff’s Confectionery through the years\, remarks by Jeffersonville Mayor Mike Moore\, and other local officials\, a ribbon-cutting\, live music by Erin Hlll\, and of course\, free Red Hot samples for those in attendance\, and Red Hot-making demonstrations throughout the day. The celebration will take place in front of Schimpff’s Confectionery at 347 Spring Street in Downtown Jeffersonville and the street will be closed for the event. \n\nCelebration at Schimpff’s Confectionery\nFriday\, November 7 at 10:00am\n347 Spring Street\, Jeffersonville\, IN 47130\nThe public is invited to celebrate and hear honored guests speak from the stage in front of the shop.\nThe street will be closed to make room for attendees and there will be limited seating available.\nFree parking is available at the lot at the corner of Spring and Chestnut Street\, and there is free-on-street parking in the blocks around the shop.
